Aircastle to Acquire 20 Narrow-Body Aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital Aircastle announced 3 October an agreement to acquire 20 narrow-body aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world's leading aircraft leasing companies. The aircraft are on lease with thirteen airlines across the globe. Peter Barrett, CEO, SMBC Aviation Capital added, "We are very pleased to have reached agreement with Aircastle on this deal which is testament both to the quality of our portfolio and our ability to handle transactions of scale. It is also further evidence that we are delivering on our stated strategy of actively trading and managing our portfolio, enabling us to maintain one of the youngest fleets in the industry." CDB Aviation Lease Finance Signs Lease Agreement for Three 737-800s with Ruili Airlines CDB Aviation Lease Finance announced 28 September the signing of a lease agreement for three Boeing 737-800 aircraft with China's first privately-owned, low-cost carrier Ruili Airlines. CDB Leasing finalizes deal for 105 Airbus, Boeing aircraft China Development Bank Leasing (CDB leasing) has finalized an order for 105 aircraft, comprising 45 Airbus and 60 Boeing aircraft. The deal is worth a total of $12.6 billion at list prices Malaysia Airlines to lease 6 Airbus 330-200 from AerCap Malaysia Airlines announced that it will lease six secondhand Airbus A330-200 aircraft from AerCap. The carrier had signed a letter of intent with AerCap for the leasing, which will be the replacement for the group's six narrowbody Boeing 737 that are being returned to lessors, The aircraft is expected to arrive between February and October next year and will be leased for six years from 2018 to 2023, and will mainly be used to up-gauge several high demand medium haul routes, he added. NAC delivered one ATR 72-500, MSN 560, to PT Trigana Air Service on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 4 October that it has delivered one ATR 72-500, MSN 560, to PT Trigana Air Service on lease. NAC sold one Embraer E190, MSN 19000031, to BeauTech Power Systems Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 27 September that it has sold one Embraer E190, MSN 19000031, to BeauTech Power Systems. SMBC Aviation Capital concludes two aircraft deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle SMBC Aviation Capital announced 29 September that it has concluded a two Boeing 737-800 aircraft deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle. The first aircraft (MSN 42090) delivered to Norwegian last week with the second aircraft (MSN 42092) in the deal expected to be delivered in the last quarter of 2017.
