Aventure Aviation Acquires Seven Boeing 737NGs from WestJet Airlines

Aventure Aviation has acquired seven Boeing 737NGs from WestJet Airlines. The seven aircraft will undergo immediate teardown for parts. The first will take place in Marana, Arizona.

Air Canada Cargo and Emirates SkyCargo Form Partnership to Expand Global Reach

In order to provide greater advantages to its international air freight customers, Emirates SkyCargo and Air Canada Cargo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement (MoU) expands on the airlines' strategic business alliance that was launched the previous year. In accordance with the conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding, Emirates SkyCargo and Air Canada Cargo will cooperate closely on a range of projects, including extending the range of cargo interline possibilities and block space arrangements, subject to any necessary regulatory approvals. The cooperation takes advantage of each carrier's expertise in transporting specialized goods on their own fleet of freighters or passenger aircraft, such as oil and gas drilling equipment, automobile parts, and pharmaceuticals.

Gulfstream's G600 Reaches 100th Customer Delivery Mark

The 100th ultra-long-range G600 was delivered to a client, according to Gulfstream Aerospace. The milestone aircraft was finished and delivered to an unidentified North American customer at Gulfstream's Dallas facility. Since the first G600 was delivered in August 2019 and certified two months earlier, it took just 3.5 years to reach the milestone. When traveling at Mach 0.85 or 0.90, the G600 can cover 6,600 or 5,600 miles.

Norse Atlantic Airways connects Gatwick to Florida

Norse Atlantic announced the opening of two new US routes from London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), which will operate four times per week starting in May and June, and Orlando (MCO), which will operate four times per week in May and June before becoming a daily service during the height of the summer peak season. Norse Atlantic Airways CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen said “We are very pleased to announce two new routes to London Gatwick from the US. In addition to our current daily New York flights, we will also be releasing for sale further destinations between US and London by the end of February. As a result, Norse Atlantic Airways will serve more destinations from the US to London Gatwick than any other carrier this summer. We look forward to a busy summer ahead as we bring value fares and a fantastic service to passengers looking to travel across the Atlantic.”

WestJet builds domestic and US connectivity

WestJet announced 20 new routes and three new destinations to the airline's summer schedule. Offering a comprehensive network of connectivity between Western Canada and the United States, WestJet's summer network additions feature new routes to Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Minneapolis, Nashville,  Washington Dulles, Detroit,  Minneapolis, with new routes added to Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Nashville, and Seattle. WestJet Group CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech, said "We are thrilled to be expanding our network and giving our guests substantial opportunity to explore the U.S., and Canada from coast-to-coast this summer."
