Air Canada launches seasonal Montreal-Amsterdam route

Air Canada announced the launch of a new seasonal routes between Montreal and Amsterdam operating five-times weekly with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft extensive North American connections at its Montreal global hub. Air Canada Senior Vice President Network Planning and Revenue Management Mark Galardo said "We continue to see strong demand for travel to Europe and we are thrilled to increase service and add new, non-stop service between Montreal and Amsterdam for summer 2023, complementing our year-round service between Toronto and the Dutch capital. With up to double daily flights between Canada and Amsterdam this summer from two of our global hubs.”

Boeing Forecasts Resiliency and Increased Growth for Aircraft Finance

Boeing released the 2023 Commercial Aircraft Finance Market Outlook (CAFMO) showing another year of recovery and increased demand from aircraft financiers and investors. "With production and delivery increases and the reopening of certain regional markets, we forecast aircraft financing needs to reach near pre-pandemic levels in 2023," said Rich Hammond, vice president of Customer Finance at Boeing. "This positive trend reaffirms that our industry's fundamentals are strong and aircraft financiers and investors are well positioned as travel continues to recover."

GA Telesis acquires two Boeing 767-300 airframes

GA Telesis announced a significant expansion to their inventory of Used Serviceable Material (USM) with the disassembly of two Boeing 767-300 aircraft. As e-commerce is experiencing rapid growth, the 767 airliner has become an excellent solution for delivering packages worldwide. This strategic acquisition will assist in expanding the group's cargo jet airframe product lines supporting those specific operators.

Global Crossing Airlines amended AOC by Transport Canada

Global Crossing Airlines has amended its Foreign Air Operators Certificate issued by Transport Canada. The Amended Canadian FAOC adds the number of, and type of, aircraft GlobalX can provide as part of its charter and ACMI offering into Canada from the US, including operating on behalf of existing Canadian airlines.

Pratt & Whitney, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines Ltd venture expands in Japan

Pratt & Whitney GTF™ MRO network welcomed its second operational facility in Japan, and 11th worldwide, with the addition of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines Ltd. (MHIAEL), part of Japanese Aero Engine Corporation. MHIAEL, a Pratt & Whitney maintenance partner since the Wasp engine and most recently the PW4000 and V2500 engines, have inducted their first PW1100G-JM engine at their facility in Komaki, Japan.
