Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines Announce Order for Five 777 Freighters Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines announced the carrier is further expanding its all-Boeing freighter fleet with an order for five 777 Freighters. The order is currently unidentified on Boeing's orders and deliveries website. Boeing's senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing said "Ethiopian Airlines' all-Boeing freighter fleet provides them with unrivalled capability and flexibility as Africa's largest cargo operator. These additional 777 Freighters will enable Ethiopian to capitalize on near-term cargo demand, while positioning the airline for further expansion in the future." ExpressJet Airlines Names Neville Randeria Chief Financial Officer ExpressJet Airlines LLC announced that it has named Neville Randeria as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Randeria has been serving as Interim CFO the last four months and prior to that had served as ExpressJet’s Director of Finance. ExpressJet President John Greenlee said “Neville has been a tremendous asset in his role as director of Finance, especially during the challenging COVID environment and the relaunch of our aha! brand over the past year. As CFO, he will help guide the success of ExpressJet’s operations during our continuing journey.” GA Telesis and Air Transport Services Group Announce the Wilmington Air Park As Location For Their Engine Maintenance Joint Venture GA Telesis announced they have reached an agreement with the Clinton County Port Authority (CCPA), JobsOhio and the Ohio Department of Development to locate their 72,000 sq. ft. Specialized Procedures Aeroengine Hospital (SPAH) at the Wilmington Air Park in southwestern Ohio. This new SPAH is projected to be operational in September of 2022. The facility will be capable of inducting more than two hundred engines per year focused on those manufactured by General Electric and CFM International. Global Crossing Airlines Announce Wet Lease of First A321 Freighter Aircraft to Avianca Global Crossing Airlines announced the signing of a multiple-year charter agreement for its first Airbus A321 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) aircraft entering service to an affiliate of Avianca Cargo to support its North American and Latin America cargo programs. The Aircraft, which marks the beginning of the Company’s XCargo™ division, is the first of thirteen (13) firm agreements with lessors, as well as seven (7) additional commitments to acquire and convert Airbus A321s in its P2F program. GlobalX intends to bring all of these future converted aircraft to market between October 2022 and the end of calendar year 2024. Terms of the agreement allow Avianca Cargo to wet lease or charter up to four additional freighters from GlobalX over the next five year. Sanad And Triumph To Partner On New UAE MRO Capability Sanad and Triumph Group announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) outlining their plans to collaborate on the provision of next-generation engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Through this strategic relationship, Sanad and TRIUMPH intend to collaborate to provide critical MRO solutions for multiple engine types for aerospace and aviation industry operators across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
