HiSky leases two Airbus A321neo LR Aircraft from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) HiSky announced the carrier is to lease two new Airbus A321neo LR Aircraft from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for delivery in March 2023. HiSky CEO Iulian Scorpan said “The addition of these two new A321neo LR aircraft is the right ingredient to sustain our growth strategy in 2023. We are grateful to ALC for the opportunity to operate the industry’s most modern aircraft offering top performance, range, and fuel-efficiency. Starting in April 2023, HiSky passengers will benefit from several long-range nonstop flight solutions to be announced this autumn.” Air Transat leases four Airbus A321XLR Aircraft from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) Air Transat announced the lease of four new Airbus A321XLR Aircraft from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for delivery in 2025 and 2026, with the option for an additional aircraft in 2027. President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat Annick Guérard, said “Air Transat's new leasing agreement with our long-trusted partner ALC represents another key milestone in the renewal and simplification of our fleet undertaken since 2017. Along with A321LRs, XLRs figure as a cornerstone of Transat's 2022-2026 strategic plan.” GOL Airlines completes Boeing 737 MAX 8 SLB with Apollo GOL Airlines and Apollo Aviation announced the completion of a sale and lease back on a single Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft. Head of Aviation Finance at Apollo and Merx CEO Gary Rothschild said “We are pleased to expand our existing relationship with GOL as the airline executes its fleet renewal strategy, and as we continue to migrate our own portfolio to the newest and most fuel-efficient fleet types. We look forward to working with the GOL team in the years ahead.” United Airlines invests in Electric Flying Taxi Market United Airlines announced another significant investment in the eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle) market through a $15 million investment in Eve Air Mobility and a conditional purchase agreement for 200 four-seat electric aircraft plus a further 200 options, with deliveries expected to commence in 2026. United Airlines Ventures President Michael Leskinen, said “United is making history again, by becoming the first major airline to publicly invest in two eVTOL companies. Our agreement with Eve highlights our confidence in the urban air mobility market and serves as another important benchmark toward our goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050 – without using traditional offsets. Together, we believe our suite of clean energy technologies will revolutionize air travel as we know it and serve as the catalyst for the aviation industry to move toward a sustainable future.” UPS Increases Boeing 767-300 Commitment UPS announced an order for an eight additional Boeing 767-300F aircraft for delivery in 2025 increasing its commitment to 108 aircraft. PS Executive Vice President and President U.S. Nando Cesarone said “The additional 767s will help us continue to deliver what matters to UPS customers around the world. This is a very versatile aircraft that we operate across every region of the globe.
