Argentina's STC granted to Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI) for Boeing 737-800SF

Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) stated that the Argentinean Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) has been granted AEI's STC (ST02690LA) for the 12-pallet position B737-800SF freighter modification. AEI has received certifications from the FAA, CAAC, EASA, TCCA, UK CAA, CAACI (Cayman Islands), DCA (Guernsey), Brazilian, and, most recently, Argentinian ANAC for its Boeing 737-800SF.

 

Delta appoints Chief Operating Officer

Delta announced the appointment of Mike Spanos as Chief Operating Officer and the newest member of the Delta Leadership Committee, effective 12 June. Spanos has extensive expertise in frontline leadership, strategy, operations, and a global perspective. Delta CEO Ed Bastian said “The experience and perspective Mike brings to Delta will enhance and accelerate the integration across our operational, customer experience and technology teams, aligning them to deliver an unsurpassed product and service for our customers and our employees. Mike shares our values of servant leadership and always putting people first.”

 

Engine Alliance chooses CTS Engines to supply GP7200 MRO engine services

The GP7200 turbofan jet engine will receive MRO services from CTS Engines (CTS), according to an announcement from Engine Alliance (EA). In order to develop, produce, and maintain the GP7200, Pratt & Whitney and General Electric formed EA, a joint venture. Because it combines the dependability and inventiveness of the PW4000 and GE90 engines with the most fuel-efficient and quietest powerplant available for the A380, the GP7200 is the top engine for the aircraft.

 

First Passenger SkyCourier is delivered by Textron Aviation

The first Cessna SkyCourier with 19 seats was delivered to Western Aircraft, doing business as Lanai Air in Hawaii, according to a Textron Aviation announcement. The airline provides upscale air transportation between Oahu and the island of Lanai.

 

GE Aerospace invests up to $20 million in EPISCenter

GE Aerospace announced plans to invest up to $20 million to add a new test cell and equipment at the Electrical Power Integrated Systems Center (EPISCenter) in Dayton, Ohio, to meet increased demand for hybrid electric aircraft engine component testing in coming years. The EPISCenter facility improvements will support testing for GE Aerospace’s expansive development of next-generation propulsion technologies in which electrification is key.
