Aergo Capital acquires first of three new Boeing 737-8 aircraft on lease to Lynx Air Aergo Capital announced it has completed the sale and leaseback of the first of three Boeing 737-8 aircraft with Lynx Air (Lynx).  Each of the three aircraft will be financed with equity provided by CarVal Investment funds and debt arranged by AV AirFinance. American Airlines to Expand Embraer Fleet American Airlines announced it has signed a firm order with Embraer for three new E175s. The aircraft will be operated by American’s wholly owned subsidiary, Envoy Air. With deliveries to be completed this year, Envoy’s fleet of E175s will grow to over 100 aircraft by the end of 2022. The contract value is $160.2 million at current list prices and will be included in Embraer’s 2021 fourth quarter backlog. Atlas Air Enters Into Long-Term Agreement with Kuehne+Nagel for Two Boeing 747-8 Freighters Atlas Air announced it has entered into a long-term, dedicated charter agreement to operate two of its new incoming Boeing 747-8 freighters on a global basis for Kuehne+Nagel, one of the world’s largest freight forwarders. The carrier will commence operation of these aircraft for Kuehne+Nagel following their delivery from Boeing, with one expected in the third quarter and the second in the fourth quarter of 2022. SKY Leasing and Wafra Announce Aircraft Leasing Joint Venture SKY Leasing announced a joint venture partnership between SKY’s managed funds and certain funds managed by Wafra.The strategic partnership will seek to acquire a diversified aircraft leasing portfolio, targeting approximately $3 billion of investments in new and young next-generation aircraft on lease to leading airlines globally. VAH AND AV AirFinance Limited Announce Inaugural Financing Voyager Aviation Holdings announced that it has refinanced one of its owned 777-300ER aircraft, which is on lease to a European flag carrier airline. The financing, which was provided by AV AirFinance Limited represents the inaugural transaction between the two companies. Western Global Airlines Purchases Two Boeing 777 Freighters Boeing and Western Global Airlines announced a firm order for two 777 Freighters, the first new-production freighters for the all-Boeing cargo operator based in Estero, Florida. The order was finalized in January 2022 and is currently listed as unidentified in Boeing's order backlog. The agreement also includes an additional purchase option.
