Air Canada Ready to Reconnect Canada and U.S. Travel With Up to 220 Daily Flights Between the Two Countries Air Canada announced its current summer transborder schedule including 55 routes and 34 destinations in the U.S., with up to 220 daily flights between the U.S. and Canada. The new schedule coincides with the loosening of restrictions on travel between the two countries as of 9th August, enabling fully vaccinated Americans to enter Canada for non-essential travel and the removal of quarantine hotel requirements, relaxed testing requirements allowing Canadians taking short transborder trips for less than 72 hours to do their pre-entry tests in Canada, among other measures to ease restrictions. Aircastle Delivers the Second of Four A320neo Aircraft to Frontier Airlines Aircastle announced that it has delivered an Airbus A320neo aircraft to Frontier Airlines, Inc. This is the second of four new A320neo aircraft that Aircastle will deliver to Frontier through August 2021. Aviation Capital Group Announces Delivery of Third A320neo to Volaris Aviation Capital Group announced the delivery of one new Airbus A320neo aircraft on long-term lease to Volaris. This aircraft, featuring Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines, is the third A320neo to deliver to Volaris from ACG as part of a multi-aircraft transaction between ACG and the airline. Canada Jetlines Announces Leadership Team Additions Canada Jetlines announced the following appointments to its senior leadership team.  Duncan Bureau joins the organization as Chief Commercial Officer and will be tasked with building the various commercial platforms and distribution network for the company. Anup Anand joins the Jetlines management team as Director of Cabin Safety and In-Flight. "As we build out the Jetlines organization, I am excited by the prospect of having such high caliber professionals join our company. Their extensive experience and industry knowledge will be instrumental in building out our go to market strategy and creating our low-cost airline model." says Eddy Doyle, CEO of Jetlines. “Canadians can look forward to new alternatives for vacation flights as we look at initially serving South Florida, the Caribbean, and Mexican markets.” Surf Air Mobility Bets Big on Hybrid-electric Caravan Surf Air Mobility has committed to buying up to 150 Cessna Grand Caravan EX single-engine utility turboprops from Textron Aviation and plans to replace their Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engines with hybrid-electric propulsion systems beginning in 2024. The provisional order announced on Tuesday is for 100 Grand Caravan EX and options for 50 more, with deliveries to begin in the second quarter of 2022.
