Aviation Capital Group Announces Financing of One Airbus A350-900 and Three Airbus A321neo Aircraft for Turkish Airlines Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) announced the secured financing of one Airbus A350-900 aircraft and three Airbus A321neo aircraft for Turkish Airlines (THY). In connection with the A350-900 financing, ACG’s Aircraft Financing Solutions (AFS) program utilized a portion of its $650 million secured funding facility to act as a direct lender under a finance lease to THY. Use of the facility allowed ACG to quickly and efficiently progress from mandate to providing delivery date financing in less than four weeks. ACG partnered with Societe Generale (SG) to provide an ACG guarantee for the secured loan component of an Italian lease structure related to three A321neo aircraft. DHL and iAero Airways Expand Their Partnership by Adding An Additional Boeing 737-800F Wet Lease Aircraft iAero Airways announced it has expanded its service to operate a total of six DHL cargo aircraft. The latest aircraft to be added, a Boeing 737-800F, will operate on an ACMI basis by iAero Airways while the other five existing aircraft are operated on a CM basis. Jetstream Aviation Capital delivers Saab 340B+ to EZ Air Jetstream Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one Saab 340B+ passenger aircraft to EZ Air of Bonaire, the Caribbean Netherlands. The aircraft - serial number 340B-417 - is the first of a multi-aircraft Saab 340B+ commitment between Jetstream and EZ Air and will be used for EZ Air's scheduled and charter passenger operations within the Caribbean, South and Central Americas.  It will be followed by additional Saab 340B+ which will deliver to EZ Air during the summer of 2021 with further deliveries to continue throughout the remainder of the year. Southwest Announces 2022 Executive Leadership Plans Southwest Airlines announced that Chairman and CEO Gary Kelly will transition roles in early 2022, becoming the carrier's Executive Chairman with the desire to serve in that role through at least 2026 at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Executive Vice President Corporate Services Robert Jordan will become Kelly's successor as CEO effective 1 February 2022. Jordan also will join the Board at that time. Westjet Cargo Announces Dedicated new Boeing 737-800(BCF) Operation. WestJet announced that it is launching a new dedicated cargo service, using 737-800 Boeing Converted Freights (BCF), as dedicated aircraft, to fulfill the larger-scale needs of Canadian businesses, freight forwarders, shippers and individual customers. The first of these dedicated 737-800BCFs are expected to be in service by the second quarter of 2022. WestJet,Executive Vice-President, Cargo and President, Swoop Charles Duncan said “Our new dedicated commercial cargo aircraft are a natural evolution of the competitive guest services WestJet has successfully provided over our 25-year history.
