AEI to provide KF Aerospace with 4th B737-400SF Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced a deal providing Canadian-based KF Aerospace with its fourth B737-400SF freighter conversion. This news follows a prior announcement in April of this year regarding an order for three B737-400SFs. The fourth aircraft (MSN 26280) is scheduled to commence modification in December 2020. All modification touch labor will be performed by KF Aerospace’s Hamilton, Ontario (YMH) facility, and will be the first AEI freighter conversion to be modified at the location. De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 Turboprop Becomes First Regional Aircraft Recertified to Meet ICAO's Most Stringent Noise Standards De Havilland Canada announced today that the Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft has been recertified to meet the latest noise emission standards set by ICAO Chapter 14.  The Dash 8-400 aircraft is the first propeller-driven aircraft, and also the first regional aircraft in the world, to achieve the certification. GA Telesis Awarded Global Tooling Distribution Agreement with Shockform Aeronautique GA Telesis announced an agreement with Quebec- based Shockform Aeronautique to become a worldwide distributor of their extensive product line of manual peening process equipment. Spirit Airlines Announces Pricing of Upsized Offering of Senior Secured Notes by Brand and Loyalty Subsidiaries Spirit Airlines announced the pricing and upsize of the previously announced private offering by Spirit IP Cayman Ltd and Spirit Loyalty Cayman Ltd each a Cayman Islands exempted company incorporated with limited liability and an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Spirit. An aggregate of $850 million in principal amount of 8.00% senior secured notes due 2025 is expected to be issued on 17 September 2020, subject to customary closing conditions. The offering was upsized to $850 million from the originally announced aggregate principal amount of $600 million. Transport Canada Extends Approvals for De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Simplified Package Freighters "De Havilland Canada announced  that Transport Canada has confirmed the extension of approvals that permit the conversion of Dash 8 Series aircraft into Simplified Package Freighters (SPF) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The approvals which now extend to 31 July 2021, will allow for continued flexibility in the transportation of goods in the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic. Triumph Group And Airbus Extend Partnership To Satisfy Recovering MRO Demand In Asia Triumph Group announced that its Triumph Aviation Services Asia (TASA) business and Airbus Industries have formalized a contract extension to continue TASA's provision of repair station services for a Proprietary Parts catalogue encompassing more than 40,000 items. TASA is a subsidiary of Triumph Systems & Support and serves the Asia Pacific region. United Strategically Adds Limited Capacity to October Schedule United Airlines announced it plans to fly 40% of its full schedule in October 2020 compared to October of last year. In September, United expects to fly 34% of its full schedule. Ankit Gupta, United's vice president of Domestic Network Planning said “We continue to be data-driven and realistic in our approach to rebuilding our network. Because October is typically a slower month for leisure travel, we're adjusting our schedules to reflect these seasonal changes in customer demand while resuming service or adding capacity on routes where we're seeing increased customer demand for travel."
