GA Telesis Engine Services Announces the First CFM56-7B Engine Disassembly Facility
GA Telesis Engine Services announced the induction of the first CFM56-7B engine for disassembly and the completion of two CFM56- 7B LPT Module Disassemblies at the US-based Specialized Procedures Aeroengine Hospital (“SPAH”) in Wilmington, Ohio. GA Telesis Engine Services US President Russ Shelton, said "We are thrilled with the continued success of our strategic growth initiatives at GATES US. The inaugural disassembly with AES illustrates how our valued customers recognize and appreciate the tremendous value generated by our centrally located US facility. Mesa Air Group Enters New Agreements with United Airlines
Mesa Air Group announced agreements with United Airlines to amend its capacity purchase agreement and certain credit agreements between the parties to significantly improve Mesa’s operating income and liquidity over the next twelve months. The key terms include increased block-hour rate in United CPA, retroactive to October 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024, projected to generate approximately $63.5 million in incremental revenue over next 12 months. Mesa Air Group Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ornstein, said “Following exhaustive negotiations over the past year, we reached several agreements with United that will increase rates per block-hour to long-sought market levels and provide additional liquidity. We believe these new agreements, combined with our CRJ-related asset sales, will enable Mesa to generate substantial incremental contract revenue and improve margins. While the situation remains challenging, this stability is critical as we continue to restore our pilot capabilities, drive increased fleet utilization, and step up block-hour production.”
Porter Airlines announces new senior leadership structure
Porter Airlines announced the introduction of a new senior leadership structure to support its ongoing development into a carrier with greater presence across North America market. The carrier stated the president and CEO roles will be separated, with Michael Deluce continuing in the position of CEO. The title of president is being assumed by Kevin Jackson, currently the airline's executive vice president and chief commercial officer. The newly created president position reports to the CEO. The airline has confirmed orders for 75 Embraer 195-E2s, with purchase rights for an additional 25 Embraer 195-E2s.
21st Boeing 737NG acquired by Aventure Aviation
Aventure Aviation announced the acquisition of its twenty-first Boeing 737NG airframe. This 737-700 aircraft, MSN 30134 was operated by Westjet. This aircraft will be parted out in Marana, Arizona, and harvested parts will be relocated to Aventure's Atlanta, Georgia HQ.
