Airbahn, a new US carrier planned for 2019
Airbahn plans to launch operations as a new carrier in June 2019, with one A320, serial 3974. The new carrier, based out of Irvine, CA, plans to operate within and between the Western US and Canada. Airbahn states that it will fund its operations with capital contributions from its shareholders and debt as required.
Airbus delivers 100th A320 Family aircraft assembled in the U.S.
Airbus has delivered its 100th aircraft from the company’s U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama. The A320neo, serial number (MSN) 8580, was delivered to Frontier Airlines. The aircraft features two horses, Meadow & West, on its tailplane.
Atlantic Airways to launch flights to NYC in mid 2019
Atlantic Airways applied to US avaition regulators for an exemption and foreign air carrier permit authorizing it to engage in scheduled and charter flights from the self-governing archipelago to the United States and beyond. Atlantic Airways intends to utilize an A320neo aircraft in a 180-seat configuration for the service, with initial scheduled seasonal service between Vagar Airport in the Faroe Islands and the New York City area beginning in late summer 2019.
Boeing Delivers First 787-9 Dreamliner for Royal Air Maroc
Boeing delivered 11 December the first 787-9 Dreamliner for Royal Air Maroc, introducing a second member of the super-efficient Dreamliner family to the airline's fleet. To celebrate its inaugural 787-9, Royal Air Maroc unveiled a special livery that honors contemporary Moroccan culture.
Boeing Delivers First Aircraft From New 737 Completion and Delivery Center in Zhoushan, China
Boeing and joint venture partner Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd (COMAC) 15 December celebrated the delivery of the first aircraft from the new 737 Completion and Delivery Center in Zhoushan, China. Air China received the first plane, marking a new era in Boeing's partnership with the Chinese aviation industry. Boeing 737 MAXs for Chinese airlines will be flown from Seattle to Zhoushan, where the joint Boeing-COMAC Completion Center will complete interior work on the aircraft.
Boeing Delivers the 787th 787 Dreamliner
Boeing on 13 December delivered the 787th 787 Dreamliner to come off the production line, marking a special milestone for the super-efficient airplane family and the fastest-selling twin-aisle jet in history. The airplane was delivered to AerCap, the world's largest lessor and 787 customer. Sporting a special logo commemorating the production milestone, the aircraft will be leased and operated by China Southern, which continues to expand its long-haul fleet of 787 Dreamliners, including 10 787-8s and eight 787-9s.
Delta TechOps partners with Rolls-Royce to provide worldwide On-Wing Care Services
Delta TechOps has recently partnered with Rolls-Royce to provide worldwide On-Wing Care Services for various Rolls-Royce Trent engines. Under this agreement Delta TechOps will provide engine line maintenance support services at remote sites for Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent XWB, Trent 1000 and Trent 7000 operators. The services range from entire engine removal and install, to video borescoping, fan blade changes and main gearbox replacement. "This collaboration with Rolls-Royce expands our existing relationship and provides customers with round-the-world support from our expert field teams," said Jack Arehart, V.P. — MRO Services.TechOps employees in SEA.
Exchange Income Corporation’s Subsidiary, Regional One, Completes Agreement to Lease 10 CRJ200 Aircraft to SkyWest Airlines
Exchange Income Corporation announced 12 December that it is has completed an Agreement to lease ten Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft to SkyWest Airlines. Hank Gibson, President of Regional One, stated “We are extremely happy to further strengthen our relationship with SkyWest Airlines, one of the largest regional airlines in North America. SkyWest is a preeminent player in the global regional airline industry, so it is gratifying to be a trusted business partner with them.”
GOAL delivers an Airbus A320neo on lease to Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320neo (msn 8580) in a Sale and Lease Back transaction arranged by GOAL German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG on behalf of KGAL APF 3 fund. The aircraft is the 100th aircraft manufactured at the Final Assembly Line in Mobile, Alabama, USA.

United Airlines Announces Largest International Route Expansion in San Francisco with new nonstop services to New Delhi, Toronto and Melbourne, Australia, Adds second daily flight to Seoul, South Korea, increasing to 11 flights weekly and adds year-round nonstop service to Amsterdam, Auckland and Tahiti in 2019. United CEO Oscar Munoz said “This route expansion solidifies United's position at San Francisco as the gateway airline serving destinations across the Pacific, the continental United States, as well as to Europe and beyond. It serves as a fitting capstone to all our efforts that made 2018 a breakthrough year for United, from delivering strong financial performance to currently leading in on-time departures for the second year in a row."
