AEI Announces Order For Two (2) CRJ200 SF Conversions For Pinnacle Partners Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced it has signed a contract to provide two (2) CRJ200 SF freighter conversions to Pinnacle Partners. The first CRJ200 (MSN 7421) will commence modification in November with redelivery scheduled for March 2018. The second CRJ200 (MSN 7417) will commence modification in December, with redelivery scheduled for April 2018. Both freighter conversions will take place at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility. First Boeing 737 MAX 8 For LOT Already On The Production Line The first Boeing 737 MAX 8, the world’s state-of-the-art narrow-body aircraft, ordered by LOT is already on the production line in Renton factory, USA. The aircraft will fly to Warsaw in early December this year. In total, by May 2019 LOT will have received six aircraft, which will be used to operate the most popular short- and medium-haul routes of the Polish carrier, including flights to London, Madrid and Tel Aviv. Singapore Signs Firm Order for 39 Boeing Widebodies Singapore Airlines has signed a firm order with Boeing for twenty 777-9s and nineteen 787-10s after settling on plans for fleet growth and route development over the next decade. The signing took place at the White House in Washington D.C., during a ceremony witnessed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. It marked the finalization of an agreement announced in February as a letter of intent. Along with the firm orders for 39 airplanes, SIA also took options for six more airplanes of each model. Boeing values the firm orders at $13.8 billion based on list prices. United Airlines Resumes Seasonal Service to New Zealand United Airlines' (UAL) seasonal service between San Francisco (SFO) and Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) scheduled to resumed on Sunday, Oct. 29, United Airlines and Star Alliance partner Air New Zealand have launched a new microsite, available at united.com/airnz, that provides information on both carriers as well as destination inspiration and tips related to travel to New Zealand and the U.S. United will operate its SFO-AKL route six days per week from October 29 through December 17 and then daily through March 22, 2018. U.S. Stage 5 Noise Rules Go Into Effect December 31 The FAA is adopting new Stage 5 noise standards for newly certified subsonic jet and transport category airplanes. This applies to any entity submitting an application for a new airplane type design with an mtow of 121,254 pounds or more starting on Dec. 31, 2017; or with an mtow of less than 121,254 pounds on or after Dec. 31, 2020.
