Air India leases Airbus A320neo from CALC

China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) announced the delivery of its first of nine new Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Air India, to be delivered in 2023 and 2024 on a phased basis powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. CALC Executive Director, and CCO, Winnie Liu said “We thank Air India for their trust in CALC. CALC is delighted to be embarking on another collaboration with our longstanding customer Air India to support the airline’s robust growth with the latest technology aircraft. BIAL sets up South Asia’s First Aircraft Recovery Training School

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) announced the establishment of South Asia’s first Aircraft Recovery Training School (ARTS) in strategic partnership with KUNZ GmbH Aircraft Equipment, located at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) Managing Director & CEO Hari Marar, said, "The establishment of the Aircraft Recovery Training School at BLR Airport reflects our primary goal of elevating operational efficiency and prioritising passenger safety. As the first airport in India to acquire specialised code F compatible aircraft recovery equipment and assemble a proficient team of recovery managers, we have made substantial advancements in enhancing our operational preparedness. IndiGo Airlines responds to Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices

IndiGo, announced the carrier was introducing fuel charge on domestic and international routes, effective from 6 October in response to increasing Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices, in the last quarter. The fuel charge will be based on sector length. The carrier stated “IndiGo remains committed to offer affordable fares to its valued customers.”

 

Vistra enhances operational efficiency

Vistara announced plans to enhance its operational efficiency deploying SITA eWAS and SITA OptiClimb solutions . The carrier aims to significantly improve efficiency in flight planning and operations, reducing fuel burn and thereby reducing carbon emissions by over 15,000 tons yearly. Vistara Senior Vice President – Flight Operations, Captain Hamish Maxwell said "Continuous improvements in operational efficiency and safety remain key focus areas for us.  Advanced technology solutions, such as SITA OptiClimb and SITA eWAS, enable clear enhancements in these areas, which ultimately help us to reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to continuing on this path and will keep evolving as a future-ready, world-class airline.”
