Airbus A220 door manufactured under ‘Make in India’
Union Minister of Civil Aviation & Steel, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia unveiled Airbus's significant expansion in its "Make-in-India" initiative event on 8th Feburary. Dynamatic Technologies have joined Airbus programme to manufacture all doors for the single-aisle Airbus A220 family aircraft in India. The aircraft has a range of up to 3,600 nautical miles (6,700 kilometers) and seating capacity ranging from 100 to 160 passengers, the Airbus A220 is ideally suited for India's UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and promoting economic growth across India.
Akasa Air announces first international route to Doha
Akasa Air announced international operations with the addition of Doha, capital of Qatar, as the first international destination to its rapidly expanding network commencing 28th March from its Mumbai operating four times weekly. The launch of operations to Qatar is in line with Qatar Tourism strategy 2030 that aims to make the country the fastest growing tourism destination in the middle east by 2030.
Akasa Air CEO & Founder Vinay Dube, said, “We are delighted to announce our international operations with the launch of our first destination - Doha, to our growing network. Vistara was awarded the ‘Best Airline of the Year’ and ‘Innovation Champion’ at the prestigious Wings India 2024. The distinguished awards were presented by the Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India, Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia in the presence of other senior officials from the Ministry, FICCI and a gathering of industry representatives from across the globe at the award ceremony held in Hyderabad.
