WestJet Group leases three additional Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft
Air Canada Strategically Expands into India for Winter 2024/5 season
Air Canada announced strategic expansion of its international network to India, adding 40% more seat capacity for Winter 2024-25 season. The carrier will operate 25 weekly flights offering 7,400 seats per week from Canada to India operating 11 weekly flights from Toronto to Delhi and Mumbai and daily flights from Montreal to Delhi and daily flights to Delhi from Western Canada via London Heathrow.

Archer Receives FAA Certification
Archer Aviation announced its subsidiary, Archer Air, has received its Part 135 Air Carrier & Operator Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This certificate allows Archer to begin operating aircraft commercially to refine its systems and procedures in advance of launching Midnight into service for airlines like United Airlines when it receives Midnight’s Type Certification. Founder and CEO of Archer Adam Goldstein, said "We are honored to receive the Part 135 Air Carrier & Operator Certificate from the FAA, which is another important stepping stone on the way to commencing commercial air taxi operations with our Midnight aircraft. Mesa Air Group Provides Updates on RASPRO Surplus CRJ Assets
Mesa Air Group announced it has completed the sales of six of the 15 surplus CRJ-900 airframes, and ten of the 30 surplus CRJ engines, associated with its Regional Aircraft Securitization Program (“RASPRO”) finance lease. Mesa Air Group Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ornstein, said “Addressing the RASPRO lease has been one of the top priorities for our surplus asset sale efforts over the past year-and-a-half. This is a significant financial obligation that we are putting behind us, and we are increasingly able to prioritize the future of the company for our investors and people. We look forward to enhancing our focus on returning to profitable performance and executing other strategic actions while closing the remaining transactions related to the RASPRO assets in the coming months.”
WestJet Group leases three additional Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft
The WestJet Group announced it will acquire an additional three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from BOC Aviation. The three aircraft are expected to integrate into the WestJet Group's fleet and operations this year. WestJet Group, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, Mike Scott said "We have an ambitious growth strategy, and the expansion of our fleet is critical to our mission of providing affordable air travel to Canadians. Working with a trusted partner like BOC Aviation supports us in meeting our growth expectations for 2024."
