Airports Authority of India (AAI) Marks Completion of Airspace Design for Navi Mumbai and Noida Airports

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has successfully completed the airspace design and flight procedures for Navi Mumbai International Airport and Noida International Airport (Jewar), ensuring seamless integration with existing aviation hubs in Delhi and Mumbai. This milestone was achieved in collaboration with Boeing India, whose experts worked alongside AAI’s Flight Procedure Design team to refine arrival and departure protocols. AAI Chairman, Shri Vipin Kumar emphasised the importance of this development in enhancing air traffic management efficiency and safety across these new airports.

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has delivered two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to Air India Express, marking the third and fourth aircraft under an ongoing sale-leaseback transaction between the two entities. These aircraft, powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines, signify Air India Express’s continued modernisation efforts as it expands its fleet with fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft.

 

Air India and Lufthansa Group Expand Codeshare Partnership

Air India has strengthened its long-standing partnership with the Lufthansa Group by expanding its codeshare agreements. The airline will now enter a new codeshare arrangement with Austrian Airlines while extending its agreements with Lufthansa and Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). This expansion introduces nearly 60 additional codeshare routes across 12 Indian and 26 European cities, bringing the total number of shared routes between Air India, Lufthansa, and SWISS to almost 100. The collaboration enhances connectivity and travel flexibility for passengers between India and Europe, reinforcing Air India's commitment to global accessibility.
