Airbus Predicts China to Become the Largest Aviation Services Market by 2043
China is expected to become the world’s largest aviation services market by 2043, according to Airbus’ Global Services Forecast (GSF). The market is projected to grow from US$23 billion in 2024 to US$61 billion, driven by a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.1%. The fleet in China will expand to 11,160 aircraft, with 9,520 new deliveries, representing 20% of global demand. This growth will significantly boost demand for maintenance, training, and fleet enhancement services.

The second phase of the EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (EU-China APP) concluded on 17 December 2024 with a landmark event hosted by the EU Delegation. The route, operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, will run three times a week through October 2025. Hong Kong International Airport celebrated the inaugural international flight of the Comac C919 on 1 January 2025.
