Air India Appoints General Sales Agent (GSA) for Mauritius
Air India has announced Rogers Aviation as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for passenger business in Mauritius. The partnership will enable Rogers Aviation to manage Air India’s reservations and ticketing, support marketing efforts, and provide passenger sales services. Alexandre Faydherbe, CEO of Rogers Aviation, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This partnership underscores our commitment to providing exceptional travel solutions and solidifies our position as a leading travel and aviation services provider in the Indian Ocean and Sub-Saharan Africa region.”
Air India Express Launches Four New Routes from Bhubaneswar
Air India Express continues to expand its domestic network with the launch of four new routes from Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport. The airline commenced flights to Jaipur and Kochi on January 5, 2025, followed by Lucknow on January 6, and Patna on January 15. With these additions, Air India Express now operates 104 weekly flights from Bhubaneswar, connecting 11 domestic and 19 one-stop domestic destinations. Additionally, the airline offers seamless connectivity to 10 international locations, including key hubs like Dubai and Singapore, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
IndiGo Introduces Bikaner as Its 90th Destination
IndiGo is set to add Bikaner as its 90th domestic destination, with daily direct flights to Delhi starting February 7, 2025. This will also mark the airline’s fifth destination in Rajasthan, a state known for its cultural richness and historical significance. IndiGo plans to operate over 460 weekly flights from Rajasthan, connecting 20 destinations directly. The airline aims to boost tourism and trade in Bikaner, a city famous for its Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, and vibrant festivals like the camel festival.
