Azorra Announces Key Appointments and Successful Aircraft Transactions

Azorra Aviation continues to strengthen its position in the market with strategic appointments and significant transactions. Susan Geitzenauer has been named Senior Vice President – Operations, while Damon J. D’Agostino takes on the role of Chief Business Officer. In the latter half of 2024, Azorra finalised the sale of seven aircraft and two airframes. Noteworthy deals include the sale of two Embraer E170s to Falko, a Boeing 777-300ER leased to Air France sold to Amergin, and two A330-200s leased to ITA Airways. Additional transactions involved Embraer E145XRs, an E190 airframe sold to AVIAN, and an ATR42-500 airframe sold to RASG for part-out purposes.

 

Delta Air Lines and Airbus Deepen Innovation Partnership

Delta Air Lines and Airbus announced an ambitious collaboration at CES 2025, focusing on pioneering the future of aviation. The partnership features three main initiatives: Innovation Labs for developing next-generation technology, the testing of Airbus’ "fello’fly" technique to enhance flight efficiency, and scaling Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production. GOAL Aircraft Leasing and Porter Airlines Finalize Sale and Leaseback Agreement

GOAL Aircraft Leasing has completed a sale and leaseback agreement with Porter Airlines for two Embraer E195-E2 aircraft under long-term lease arrangements. Additionally, GOAL and Porter have signed a finance lease agreement for three Dash 8-400 aircraft. Christian Schloemann, Managing Director of GOAL, remarked, “We are proud to support Porter Airlines in expanding their fleet with cutting-edge aircraft and enhancing their presence in North America.”

 

Southwest Airlines Enters Sale and Leaseback Agreement for 36 Boeing 737-800 Aircraft

Southwest Airlines has partnered with BBAM for a sale and leaseback deal involving 36 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. BBAM will acquire the aircraft and lease them back through the Incline Aviation III investment fund, with lease terms ranging from 26 to 37 months. This move aligns with Southwest’s “Southwest. Even Better.” transformation plan, aimed at modernising operations and improving flexibility.
