Air India Express launches Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi route

Air India Express launched a new four times weekly service between Bengaluru and Abu Dhabi, UAE using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Bengaluru is the largest station for Air India Express operating over 200 weekly flights to 27 destinations. In an statement the carrier said “With the launch of the Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi flight, guests from cities such as Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune, Ranchi, Varanasi, and Visakhapatnam now have the option to connect conveniently to Abu Dhabi through one-stop itineraries via Bengaluru.”

 

Delhi Airport becomes first Indian airport to launch FTI-TTP

Delhi Airport announced it became the first airport in India to introduce the Government of India’s pioneering "Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme" (FTI-TTP) for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The FTI-TTP provides cardholders with a faster, easier, and more secure travel experience. DIAL CEO Mr. Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, said “We at DIAL are very proud to join hands with the Government of India for launching the FTI-Trusted Traveller Programme at Delhi Airport. This programme will offer a world-class and seamless travel experience to all international passengers opting for this facility. The Trusted Traveller Programme allows Indian passport holders and OCI Cardholders to utilise these e-gates, bypass regular emigration/immigration queues, and enjoy a smoother journey. This technology-driven initiative is designed to make the emigration/immigration clearance process faster and simpler.” 

 

IndiGo connects Southern India to Abu Dhabi

IndiGo announced expansion of its Southern India route network connecting Coimbatore, Mangaluru and Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi commencing between 9 and 11 August. IndiGo Head of Global Sales, Mr. Vinay Malhotra said, “We are pleased to announce new direct flights from Mangaluru, Coimbatore as well as Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi. With the addition of these flights, IndiGo now operates 89 non-stop flights a week to Abu Dhabi from 13 cities in India. These flights will provide smooth and convenient options for business as well as leisure travel to the UAE and further add to the gateways for travelers to explore the wonderful island city and beyond.”
