Akasa Air orders 300 CFM LEAP-1B engines
Air India leases Airbus A320neo from SMBC Aviation Capital
SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one Airbus A320-251N aircraft (MSN 11927) powered by two LEAP-1A26 engines to Air India. The aircraft is first of six A320-251N aircraft contracted for delivery to Air India from SMBC Aviation Capital’s direct order with Airbus.

Akasa Air and CFM International today an agreement to purchase CFM LEAP-1B engines to power 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The agreement also includes spare engines and a services contract. Akasa Air CEO & Founder Vinay Dube, said “This significant, long-term agreement is testament to the confidence that CFM International has in Akasa Air. IndiGo connects Surat and Dubai
IndiGo announced the launch of a new route connecting Surat and Dubai operating three times weekly effective from 23 February creating new options for tourists and business travellers and enhance bilateral economic growth and relations between India and the UAE. IndiGo Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra said "We are delighted to introduce direct connectivity between Dubai and Surat, the two major commercial and economic hubs in the Middle East and India. With the addition of these flights, IndiGo operates 108 direct flights a week to Dubai from 13 cities in India. Surat, in Gujarat, is well-known for its flourishing textile and diamond industries, and enhancing connectivity with Dubai, will provide business travellers with trade opportunities and significantly contribute to economic development in both regions.”
