Avolon Delivers First Airbus A330neo To Malaysia Airlines
ACIA Aero Leasing sells ATR72-500 with Air Creebec
ACIA Aero Leasing announced the sale of an ATR 72-500 LCD freighter (MSN727) to Canadian regional airline, Air Creebec. The aircraft is the airline’s first ATR to be introduced to its fleet. The aircraft will enter operations in December serving Air Creebec’s multiple cargo clients throughout Canada. ACIA Aero Leasing SVP Commercial, Mark Dunnachie stated “We welcome Air Creebec as a new customer and are delighted they approached ACIA Aero Leasing for their first ATR. The Canadian market represents multiple opportunities for the ATR platform across both passenger and cargo requirements and we see strong potential to further strengthen our customer base in this key market. The fact that we were able to reconfigure the aircraft from standard BFC to LCD variant, incorporating the large cargo door, maintenance and paint in under 6 months, reaffirms our leadership in the market for ATR freighter solutions.”
Avolon Delivers First Airbus A330neo To Malaysia Airlines
Avolon announces the delivery of the first of 20 Airbus A330neo aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines it has agreed to lease to Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines. The transaction was first announced in August 2022, comprising the placement of 10 A330neo aircraft from Avolon’s orderbook and 10 A330neo aircraft to be acquired from MAG via sale and leaseback, with the remaining aircraft delivering out to 2028. Avolon CEO Andy Cronin stated “We are proud to have partnered with MAG on a complex and unique transaction. It was made possible due to the deep and long-standing relationships Avolon has with Airbus and Rolls-Royce, all collaborating to provide the optimal solution for MAG with the A330neo. With global supply of widebody aircraft extremely limited these aircraft are a core element of MAG’s fleet renewal strategy, allowing them to capitalise on the continuing recovery in the Asian aviation market.”
Daiwa Securities and Airborne Capital collaboration to expand leasing opportunities
Daiwa Securities and Airborne Capital announced that they have agreed to enter into a capital and business alliance in the aircraft leasing sector, the companies will leverage their respective strengths to launch a joint venture. Airborne Capital CEO Ramki Sundaram, said “We are very excited to launch this partnership with Daiwa Securities, whose deep market reach and innovative solutions make them an ideal partner to expand our existing business in Japan. This formalises our existing collaboration and aims to merge Daiwa Securities’ strength in delivering tailored high-value solutions with our aviation expertise, enabling the expanded offering of specialised aircraft leasing products in Japan, a key market in Airborne’s global growth strategy.”
