BOC Aviation Places Two Airbus A320neo’s with Nouvelair
BOC Aviation announced the placement of two Airbus A320NEO aircraft with Nouvelair and are scheduled for delivery this year. BOC Aviation Paul Kent, Chief Commercial Officer (Europe, Americas & Africa) Paul Kent, said “We are excited to welcome Nouvelair as a new customer as we build out our exposure to the rapidly-growing North African aviation market. These latest technology aircraft will provide a significant boost to the modernity and operating efficiency of Nouvelair’s fleet as it develops further scale.”
Cathay Pacific adds new route to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW)
Cathay Pacific announced further expansion its North America network with the launch of non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) . The new service, scheduled to commence on 24 April 2025, will operate four times weekly using Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. The new route marks Cathay Pacific’s sixth passenger destination in the United States and eighth in North America. Cathay Group Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said: “With our unique position of having deep roots in Hong Kong, being proudly part of China, and connecting the world, Cathay continues to build Hong Kong as a leading international aviation hub that connects people to the most exciting places in the world. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports. With our Cathay Pacific codeshares as well as other flight options, customers can connect to over 190 domestic destinations in the United States, as well as 11 destinations in Central and South America via DFW, further enhancing Hong Kong’s connectivity with North America and important Belt and Road Initiative participating countries.”
Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines strengthen joint venture
Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines announced a project that will establish a landmark joint venture, marking an unprecedented milestone in the 40-year history of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and China. The joint venture project builds on the already successful partnership between Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines, key aspects of the joint venture include increased aircraft capacity, improved transit times, interconnected networks and the expanded distribution of SF Express’s international express services. SF Holding Chairman, Wang Wei said "This joint venture is a pioneering development in air cargo logistics between China and the UAE. By joining forces with Etihad Cargo, we are setting new standards for the industry, particularly in response to the rising demand for e-commerce, airmail, and parcel delivery. This is a long-term commitment to enhancing the quality and reliability of our operations."
