CDB Aviation orders 80 Airbus A320neo-Family Aircraft
BOC Aviation leases three Boeing 747-8F to Atlas Air
BOC Aviation announced the placement of three Boeing 747-8 freighters with Atlas Air powered by General Electric GEnx engines, scheduled for delivery in this quarter. BOC Aviation Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Steven Townend said “Atlas manages the world’s largest fleet of Boeing 747 freighter aircraft and is ideally placed to partner with us in the operation of these latest generation aircraft. As global airfreight volumes hit record highs this transaction highlights our ability to provide capacity solutions to a wide variety of airline customers.”
Brazil and China Strengthen Cooperation on Civil Aviation Airworthiness
Brazil and China have signed cooperation agreements to strengthen the partnership between the two countries in civil aviation, advancing safety, efficiency and sustainability in airworthiness certification processes. In August 2024, CAAC and ANAC subscribed a revised version of airworthiness implementation procedures for the mutual validation of aircraft, facilitating the approval process for civil aviation products as well as its import and export between China and Brazil. EHang Holdings announced that its EH216-S pilotless electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft system has obtained an Experimental Flight Authorization Certificate from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency. The Company plans to conduct test and trial flights in Brazil to demonstrate the EH216-S capabilities.
CDB Aviation orders 80 Airbus A320neo-Family Aircraft
CDB Aviation announced it entered into an aircraft purchase agreement with Airbus for 80 A320 NEO family aircraft , with deliveries expected between 2030 and 2032. The order is in line with CDB Aviation strategies and in order to optimize the fleet structure and increase the proportion of next-generation aircraft with advanced technologies, high fuel efficiency and wide market penetration.
China and Uzbekistan increase aviation capacity
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport announced it has has agreed with China Southern Airlines to increase the frequency of flights on the Beijing-Tashkent route from four to seven per week, and on the Urumqi (Xinjiang) to Tashkent route from three to four per week. In addition agreement has been reached to launch three weekly flights on the Guangzhou-Urumqi-Tashkent route in 2025.
