Air China takes delivery of its first Airbus A350-900
Air China becomes the first Chinese mainland customer to order and take ownership of twin-engine widebody aircraft - A350-900 aircraft. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, Air China’s A350-900 aircraft features a comfortable three-class cabin layout of 312 seats: 32 business, 24 premium economy and 256 economy. The airline will initially operate the new aircraft on its domestic routes, followed by flights to international destinations.
China Eastern and JAL Ramp Up Cooperation Agreement
China Eastern Airlines and Japan Airlines signed a joint memorandum of cooperation in Shanghai last week to further develop the Sino-Japanese aviation market. They plan to form a joint venture with aim of starting operation in the first half of 2019. This new strategic partnership will enhance the market competitiveness and generate more passenger traffic on high-density and multi-destinations over the East China Sea.
Chinese Airlines Receive Airbus A350s
Two Chinese airlines, Air China and Sichuan Airlines, have taken delivery of their first Airbus A350-900s. Flag carrier Air China is the first Chinese mainland customer to take ownership of the type, having ordered 10 in 2010.
Cambodian Airlines Charts Its Expansion
Hardly a month since it started operations on July 10, Cambodia Airways (CAW) has already charted its expansion plans for the next five years. Wholly owned by Prince International Airlines Co Ltd, CAW, a Cambodian-Chinese joint venture, is based at Phnom Penh Pochentong International Airport (PPPIA). The Chinese partner is Prince Real Estate. The airline flies two Airbus A319s, and three A320s will join the fleet by December. The fleet will expand to 10 by 2020 and the company plans to have 20 A320s by 2023.
Recaro CL5710 Takes Off on Shenzhen Airlines Boeing 737MAX
Chinese Shenzhen Airlines ordered more than 300 CL5710 business class seats and 5500 economy class seats BL3530 from Recaro Aircraft Seating for their 37 Boeing 737MAX aircraft. Shenzhen’s first B737MAX took off on August 3rd, 2018 The BL3530 features storage and shelving space for tablets, smartphones or e-readers. Russia’s IrAero launches year-round Boeing 777 services to China
Russian regional carrier IrAero has officially announced the launch of services to China utilizing the three Boeing 777-200 wide-body aircraft it has recently added to its fleet. The year-round services will be offered initially from cities across Russia to resort destinations on Hainan Island. Flights to Haikou will be operated from Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Kazan, Ufa and Yekaterinburg. Apart from the latter, IrAero will become the first operator to offer direct services between these city pairs.

Volga-Dnepr and China’s Henan province endorse their strategic cooperation
Russian air cargo specialist Volga-Dnepr Group, in combination with China’s Henan Airport Group and Zhongyuan Asset Management, have signed a collective framework agreement which endorses their long-term strategic cooperation. The latest accord follows a series of meetings between the leaders of Volga-Dnepr and Henan province in Russia and in China.
