BAA Training, HNCA open training centre in China BAA China a modern six full-flight simulator (FFS) aviation training centre opened in China in mid-June. Following the joint venture (JV) agreement between Avia Solutions Group (ASG), a global multi-service aviation company and Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), signed in July 2019, the companies have established the new BAA Training China training centre in Zhengzhou city, Henan province. The new training centre is designed to provide capacity of 40,000 flight hours per year and train approximately 4,000 pilots. CALC receives Shanghai Stock Exchange’s approval for a RMB5 billion ABS programme China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) announced that it has received an approval from the Shanghai Stock Exchange for its asset-backed securities issuance programme with a ceiling of RMB5 billion. Such ABS programme for the aircraft leasing industry is a first of its kind in China, demonstrating in full SHSE’s support for the aviation industry. The approval has been granted against the backdrop of steady recovery of the aviation industry and numerous national policy initiatives in favor of the civil aviation sector. China-developed AG100 trainer aircraft makes successful maiden flight   China's domestically-developed AG100 trainer aircraft made its maiden flight successfully Saturday morning, announced Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The AG100, which is a new generation trainer aircraft, conducted its maiden flight at the Moganshan airport in Deqing County, east China's Zhejiang Province. According to the test pilots, during its 10-minute flight, the aircraft showed good manoeuvrability and stability, and all systems were operating normally. China Eastern Airlines follows to offer unlimited flight passes China Eastern Airlines launched the first weekend-unlimited flight passes in the domestic market. With a price of 3322 yuan ($469), passengers can take flights from China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines to major China cities, with no limited times on any weekend in 2020. The airline apologized later for the crash on its website due to high traffic, implying the success of this product. Daily flights in China rebound to over 10,000 The latest figures released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) indicate that, on 15 May 2020, China’s civil aviation sector operated 10,262 flights, which was about 60% of the number before the Covid-19 outbreak. It is the first time that the number of flights in a single day exceeded 10,000 since 1 February, according to CAAC. Seattle and San Francisco to Resume Flights to Shanghai The Shanghai government gave approval for United Airlines Inc. and Delta Air Lines Inc. to resume airplane flights to China. This is after months of flight suspensions due to the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. The two U.S. airlines are cleared to operate two flights per week.
