BOC Aviation Delivers First Of Seven Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft To Turkish Airlines BOC Aviation announced that it has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for lease to Turkish Airlines. All seven aircraft are part of the Company’s existing order book and will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines. BOC Managing Director & CEO Robert Martin stated “We are delighted to build on our 18-year relationship with Turkish Airlines and to support the airline in its fleet development plans with the most fuel-efficient, technologically advanced aircraft. This transaction illustrates our strategy of long-term, sustainable growth by building a portfolio of latest technology aircraft.” China's AC313A large civil helicopter makes maiden flight China's independently-developed AC313A large utility civil helicopter successfully conducted its maiden flight last week, developed by OEM Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The 13-tonne-class large helicopter conducted the flight at an airport in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province, marking a major step forward in the development of China's SAR system. The AC313A will now enter the flight test phase programme. It is expected to receive an airworthiness certification during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), aimed at the SAR Market. China's zero-COVID policy to hit Asia aviation recovery says IATA China's zero-COVID policy will hold back a full air travel recovery in the Asia-Pacific region, IATA warned. IATA DG Willie Walsh stated “It has been a brutal two years for airlines. But we are seeing signs of recovery now. Unfortunately, (the) Asia-Pacific region will lag this recovery as China continues to pursue zero-COVID.” Sine Draco Aviation Technology Expands AS9100 Rev. D and ISO 9001 Certifications to Sine Draco Facilities in China Sine Draco Aviation Technology announced the expansion of its AS9100 Rev. D quality management standard certifications to Sine Draco Aviation Development (Nanchang, China) and Sine Draco Aviation Services (Shanghai, China) facilities. Sine Draco's AS9100 certification, which also includes certification to the ISO9001:2015 standard, supports its plans for development, management and execution of large-scale aviation projects, including aircraft design, modification and certification for passenger to freighter conversion and aircraft storage.
