China Airlines Adds Non-Stop Flights to London, Capturing All 5 Major European Destinations China Airlines commenced operating the Taipei-London (Gatwick) service on December 1 with the new A350-900 XWB fleet making four flights a week. This route makes China Airlines the only airline in Taiwan to offer non-stop flights to London. The introduction of non-stop flights to London represents a major boost to China Airlines’ European network. When added to existing non-stop flights to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Frankfurt (Germany), Vienna (Austria) and Rome (Italy), China Airlines will operate 22 weekly flights to five European destinations and is the only Taiwan-based airline that currently operates so many non-stop flights between Taiwan and Europe. China Airlines A350 XWB delivered using biofuel mix China Airlines of Taiwan has become the second airline to join a programme to use a blend of traditional and sustainable biofuels to power aircraft for delivery flights from Airbus. The aircraft involved is the tenth A350-900 for China Airlines, which left the manufacturer’s delivery centre in Toulouse for its new home in Taipei with a 10% blend of sustainable jet fuel in its tanks. The sustainable fuel option for delivery flights has been developed by Airbus in association with Air Total, the aviation subsidiary of the global energy operator. In order to stock the eco-friendly product, Air Total has installed the first ever biofuel station adjacent to the Airbus delivery centre in Toulouse. A total of 21 aircraft have so far been delivered by Airbus since the facility was inaugurated in May 2016. China Southern takes delivery of its first B737 MAX Boeing announced 28 November 2017 that the two Boeing 737 MAX for China Southern, based in Airport Guangzhou Baiyun, had flown to China. China Southern Airlines was committed in December 2015 to acquire 50 B737 MAX 8 and had added another 30 last month. Their configuration should have three classes, as does its B737-800s. The carrier received "substantial price concessions", without detailing the course. China Southern wants more collaboration with American Airlines China Southern Airlines wants more collaboration with Fort Worth-based American Airlines as China’s largest carrier seeks to reposition itself on the global stage. China Southern wants more support from American because the market between China and the United States is so large, the Chinese carrier’s President Tan Wan Geng said in a recent interview."This is the reason why we set the cooperation strategy relationship with American Airlines,” Tan said. “It's just the beginning.
