AFI KLM E&M Components China signs deal with AvtechTyee
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance Components China and AvtechTyee signed an industrial cooperation agreement, which entitled the AFI KLM E&M subsidiary based Shanghai to be an authorised repair shop in China. Under this agreement, AFI KLM E&M Components China is now the repair station of AvtechTyee in China mainland to support the OEM aftermarket services on their products.
BOC Aviation Selects Pratt & Whitney GTF™ Engines to Power up to 25 More Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft
Pratt & Whitney today announced that BOC Aviation has selected Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines to power its latest order of 10 firm and 15 option Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The aircraft are expected to enter service beginning in 2022. “The GTF powers a significant proportion of our A320neo family fleet and we are delighted to be ordering more,“ said Robert Martin, MD & CEO of BOC Aviation. “The GTF is a highly efficient engine that continues to deliver cost savings and environmental benefits to our airline customers.”
Chinese regional carriers To Receive $239 Million Subsidies
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has published its 2022 budget for domestic regional flight routes, with 54 airlines to receive more than 1.5 billion yuan ($239 million) in subsidies.
COMAC predicts China to become world's largest aviation market by 2040
China's COMAC predicts that China's fleet size will reach 9,957 by 2040, accounting for 22 percent of the global passenger aircraft fleet, making China the world's largest single aviation market.
The report, which was released by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) stated that China will take delivery of 9,084 aircraft at or above the 50-seat class in the next two decades by 2040, valued at approximately $1.4 trillion.
Meggitt to support Leap 1C customers in China
Meggitt plc has signed a three year warehousing and logistics agreement with China Southern Airlines Group Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd, to support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) activities on the Leap 1C in the China region. SVP General Manager, Asia Pacific for Meggitt’s Services & Support division Adrian Bunn stated "Through this agreement we are better able to service the needs of our growing customer base, ensuring swifter turnaround times and more efficient operations. Together with the MRO services we can now offer from our newly established Lufthansa Technik partnership in Shenzhen, we look forward to building even stronger relationships with our Chinese customers and business partners over the years to come.”
Textron Aviation announces Sichuan Longhao Flight Training school order for 20 Cessna Skyhawks
Textron Aviation has announced that Sichuan Longhao Flight Training (Longhao Flight Training School) in China, has signed a purchase agreement for 20 Cessna Skyhawk piston aircraft. The aircraft, which are expected to be delivered throughout 2022, will be utilised for primary pilot training in southwest and central China.
