Eight cities in India identified by start-up Flypop
Eight cities in India have been identified for possible flights from Stansted by start-up long-haul carrier Flypop. The cities under consideration have been listed on the airline’s website as being Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Goa, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Kocki.Flypop which set up its first UK base at Stansted in the summer is pending regulatory approval to launch flights to secondary cities in India.
HAL's avionic equipment gets ITSOA certificate for civil platforms
Hindustan Aeronautics said its avionic equipment 'Air Data Computer (ADC) with Outside Air Temperature (OAT) Probe' has received Indian Technical Standard Order Authorisation (ITSOA) certificate from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for civil platforms. HAL's Strategic Electronics Research and Development Centre (SLRDC), Hyderabad indigenously designed and developed the first 'Air Data Computer ADC 3600A CVL1' which has environmentally qualified as per DO-160G standard along with in-house developed application software certified as per DO-178C, Level A, required for civilian aircraft and helicopters.
India, UAE aim to ensure speedy normalisation of air services
India and the UAE will aim to ensure speedy normalisation of air transport operations between the two countries. Accordingly, the need for normalisation of air transportation, was discussed at the ninth meeting of the 'UAE-India High Level Joint Task Force on Investments' held in Dubai last week.
IndiGo strengthens regional network with Kanpur as its 71st domestic destination
IndiGo announced Kanpur as its 71st domestic destination and 10th new regional destination this year. The airline will offer direct connectivity between Kanpur-Delhi effective 31st October and between Kanpur-Hyderabad, Kanpur-Bangalore, and Kanpur-Mumbai from 1st November. Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer IndiGo Sanjay Kumar stated “We are pleased to announce Kanpur as our new domestic destination, bolstering our regional connectivity. Kanpur, known for its leather and textile industries is one of the prime industrial centres in North India and the ninth-largest urban economy in the country. Owing to the increase in direct connectivity with metro cities, these new flights will boost trade, commerce, and tourism in the region."
