China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines to operate 20 international services in September
China Eastern Airlines, via its official WeChat account, announced the carrier and its Shanghai Airlines subsidiary will operate 20 international services in Sep-2021, with 13 at Shanghai, three at Kunming, two at Hangzhou and one each at Xian and Yantai reported Corporate Travel Community (CTC).
China Eastern expects first Comac C919 delivered in second-half 2021
China Eastern Airlines is expected to take delivery of the world’s first Comac C919 narrowbody in the second half of the year reported Flightglobal 6th August.
China expected to keep curbs on international flights throughout first half of 2022
China's aviation regulator (CAAC) is likely to keep the current tight caps on international flights throughout the first half of 2022, analysts cited Air China as saying this week reported Reuters. The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) last month said that weekly international flights were at only 2% of 2019 levels, as more flights were suspended amid a rising number of imported COVID-19 cases.
Chengdu Airlines Launches New Route To Country’s Easternmost Airport
Chengdu Airlines has launched a new route connecting Shandong province’s Weihai city to Fuyuan Dongji Airport in Heilongjiang province, following the resumption of airport operation. The route from Weihai to Fuyuan Dongji Airport via Jiamsu city operates four times weekly using a Comac ARJ21.
Seraph Aviation Group places one B737-800 with Joy Air in China
Seraph Aviation announced that it has successfully placed one B737-800 with Joy Air in the People’s Republic of China. David Butler, Chief Executive, Seraph Aviation Group said “We are delighted to have secured Joy Air as a new airline customer and are proud of our achievement to deliver an aircraft into China during the Covid pandemic. We look forward to commencing a long and positive relationship with Joy Air and we wish the airline well as it introduces the aircraft into service this month.”
