BOC Aviation Delivers Final Of Ten Airbus A320neo Aircraft To Air China BOC Aviation announced that it has delivered the final aircraft of a ten new Airbus A320NEO aircraft transaction with Air China. The aircraft is powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF™ PW1100G-JM engines. Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation, said “This delivery reflects the level of cooperation that we have built with Air China, with significant teamwork on both sides needed in the delivery of all ten A320NEO aircraft. We look forward to further developing our long and successful relationship with Air China as we continue to provide our airline customers with more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft solutions.” China air travel surges after New Year downturn The good news follows a downturn during the Chinese New Year holiday, which is usually a boom period for the country’s travel sector, thanks to a clampdown on travel by the Government. On 12 February, 162,000 passengers passed through Chinese airports, which represents a 90% fall compared to the figures from 2019. China Eastern Airlines officially signed a purchase contract of five C919 aircraft in first batch with COMAC As the world's first launch customer of the China-made trunk liner C919, China Eastern Airlines officially signed a purchase contract of C919 aircraft with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) in Shanghai on March 1st, 2021. Five C919 aircraft would be introduced in the first batch, and China Eastern Airlines would become the world's first airline to operate C919 aircraft. China Eastern Airlines has been deeply involved in the design and development of C919 aircraft, trained and provided the first C919 flight crew to fly a jet as a companion during the maiden flight of C919 aircraft, and provided suggestions from the perspectives of customer use and maintenance.
