BOC Aviation leases Boeing 737s and 787-9 to United Airlines
BOC Aviation announced that it has entered into a lease transaction involving three Boeing 737-9 and one Boeing 787-9 aircraft with United Airlines. BOC Aviation Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Steven Townend said “We are delighted to be supporting our long-time customer, United, once again, as it continues its fleet renewal programme. The financing of these four latest generation Boeing aircraft provides us with an incremental investment opportunity as we continue to grow our business.”
European Cargo connects Cardiff and China
British air freight carrier, European Cargo announced plans to open a new base in Cardiff effective 16Th October, with an single Airbus A340-600 aircraft. The carrier plans to launch a service to a destination in China to be announced, initially operating 3 weekly flights, building to 4, with the ambition of this frequency increasing in the future. European Cargo CEO, Jason Holt said: “We’re delighted to announce this exciting development at Cardiff Airport. As we continue to grow our business expanding outwards from Bournemouth, we see Wales as a fantastic place to invest in. Cardiff Airport has many advantages, including 24-hour operational facilities and easy road access to the motorway network. We look forward to working with the Airport team.”
Hainan Airlines extends Dublin service year-round
Dublin Airport announced as part of its flight schedule for the 2024/25 winter season, which will commence from the end of October and runs until the end of March next year. Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines will operate to Beijing twice weekly, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
