Hainan Airlines Resumes Seattle Direct Service to Beijing

AerDragon Leases Two Airbus A320neos To SAS

AerDragon Aviation announced that, as part of the agreement with Scandinavian Airline the  delivery of two Airbus A320neos to SAS in February and March 2024.

 

Hainan Airlines Resumes Seattle Direct Service to Beijing

Hainan Airlines resumed its direct flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Beijing (PEK) from April 2, 2024 operating three times weekly using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Seattle was the first U.S. airport Hainan Airlines chose to serve back in 2008, operating flights until 2019. Port of Seattle Commissioner Sam Cho said “We’re excited to once again be working with Hainan Airlines. We’re fortunate to be able to offer multiple direct flights to China out of SEA. The return of Hainan is a reflection of the strong relationships we have with our airline partners and the Chinese market. With international travel numbers continuing to grow, both inbound and outbound, we’re working closely with carriers to meet the demand and offer a variety of services and destinations around the globe.”

 

YunExpress Expands Strategic Partnership with Atlas Air

Atlas Air announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with YunExpress, a subsidiary of Zongteng Group, by adding a second Boeing 777-200 freighter under a long-term charter agreement. The new flying will enhance YunExpress’ international logistics network and help it serve the increasing demand for cross-border e-Commerce shipping from China.

Zongteng Group President Wang Zuan, stated “Last December, YunExpress, in collaboration with Atlas, launched charter service between Xiamen, China and Miami utilizing a 777 freighter, which has been operating with solid performance. The signing of this new long-term agreement further deepens and strengthens the strategic partnership between us. Through YunExpress, we aim to meet the growing demand for airfreight capacity between China, Europe and North America. Looking ahead, we aim to further expand routes and fleet size to provide customers with more convenient and diverse global transportation options, ensure supply chain resilience, and support the steady development and growth of our customers’ international businesses.”
