Aviation ministry sets up sub-group for suggesting ways to improve cargo-related infra issues
The civil aviation ministry has set up a sub-group comprising members from domestic air cargo agents body DACAAI, AAI logistics arm AAICLAS, various airlines and a joint venture airport, for suggesting ways and means to improve cargo-related infrastructure issues. The association on hosted a virtual conference (VC) on ''Rebooting Aviation-DACCAI-Issues and Challenges of Domestic Air Cargo Logistics'', which was attended by Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri as chief guest.
FlyBig launches new Arunachal Pradesh-Assam route
FlyBig launched a new route between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam effective 9th July. The newly operational flights will directly connect between Pasighat and Guwahati. The development of this will take palace under the Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN.
HPCL Aviation wing commissions fuel station at Assam's Rupsi Airport
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) Aviation wing has commissioned its aviation fuel station at Rupsi Airport in Assam's Kokrajhar district.
India registers over 2.6 lakh domestic air travellers
According to the data released by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in India many as 2,61,753 passengers where carried on domestic flights in June. Separately India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a new order allowing airlines to raise domestic flight capacity to 65% of pre-Covid levels, up from 50% in June.
SpiceJet to launch 42 new flights between July 10 and 30
SpiceJet announced it will launch 42 new domestic and international flights between 10-30 July, according to an official press release. The carrier said it will start flights on Surat-Jabalpur and Surat-Pune routes. The airline will also be connecting the city of Surat with Jaipur, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, and Gwalior with Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Pune, the statement added.
