ACI praises India's plan for new wave of private investment in its airports ACI World praised India's decision to seek a new wave of private investment to further develop the country's airport system. It claims that the move will better enable India to respond to the growing demand for air services. According to ACI World Airport Traffic Forecasts 2018-2040, India is expected to be the second fastest growing country with more than 50 million passengers per annum from 2017-2040 with 6.8% growth. Commerce chamber calls for India to develop air finance sector Flightglobal 17 January reported the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has called for policy changes to make the country a global aviation finance hub by 2040. FICCI noted that 70% of India’s privately-owned carriers rely on operating leases to finance their aircraft, which is set to continue. First ACH145 Delivered to Customer in India Airbus delivered the first fully customized ACH145 helicopter to a customer in India, marking a milestone for its corporate aviation division. The ACH145 features Airbus Helicopters’ Helionix avionics, including a standard 4-axis digital Automatic Flight Control System for reduced pilot workload. The Turbomeca Arriel2E engines, with dual channel FADEC, generate 951 shaft horsepower for take-off and allow improved hover and one-engine inoperative performance as well as increased maximum gross weight capability. India Imposes New Measures on Pratt-powered A320neos The DGCA has ruled the operators must carry out weekly inspections of third-stage LPT blades. For newer engines, it requires boroscope inspection at first oil filter change and “at next opportunity or A-Check, whichever is earlier,” for engines that already underwent their first oil filter change and have accumulated less than 1000 flight hours. The regulator also has recommended an awareness program for cabin and cockpit crew on odor and smoke during the approach phase of flight. LOT Polish Airlines launches new non-stop service between Warsaw and New Delhi LOT Polish Airlines will launch a new non-stop service between Warsaw and New Delhi, starting 17 September 2019 route operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners five times a week. LOT CEO Rafał Milczarski stated ""The long-awaited flight between Poland and India is becoming a fact. I am pleased to announce that this magnificent destination is being added to LOT’s growing network today. This is a great moment in our 90-year history and also evidence of our dynamic development."
