IndiGo CarGo adds new Kolkata-Ezhou route

Air India Express launches "AIX Connect" 

Air India Express announced has become the first Indian airline to launch a Virtual Interline platform, offering flyers a wider range of booking options. Starting their flight search from the airline's users can connect to the new platform "AIX Connect" , enabling user to book connecting flights where one leg of the journey is operated by Air India Express and the other leg by the partner airline.

 

Air India Express Chief Commercial Officer Ankur Garg, said "As Air India Express strengthens its footprint across domestic and international markets, we are strategically leveraging virtual interline partnerships to unlock new destinations with seamless connectivity to the East and West. We welcome Scoot as our first airline partner on this platform and look forward to onboarding more airlines, which will be instrumental in expanding the network further to cater to the growing outbound travel demand from India, while simultaneously enhancing inbound tourism by attracting international travellers to our vibrant nation."

 

IndiGo adds Jaffna to Global Network

Indigo, announced the addition of Jaffna, Sri Lanka to its ever expanding international route network. The new route will commence on 1st September operating direct daily flights between Chennai and Jaffna. Jaffna will be the second destination in Sri Lanka after Colombo for IndiGo, making it the 34th international and 122nd overall destination. Indigo stated “This strategic announcement will further strengthen the strong cultural and trade ties between India and Sri Lanka that have been marked by cooperation in the field of commerce, infrastructure development and air connectivity.”

 

IndiGo Head of Global Sales Mr. Vinay Malhotra, said "We are pleased to announce Jaffna as our new destination in Sri Lanka, which will serve as a catalyst in enhancing trade & tourism between our two countries. In addition to these daily flights from Chennai to Jaffna, we also offer 30 weekly frequencies from 4 points in India to Colombo. This 75-minute flight would significantly reduce travel time, making Jaffna, Sri Lanka even more accessible.”

 

IndiGo CarGo adds new Kolkata-Ezhou route

IndiGo CarGo commenced a new, three times weekly Airbus A321PF freighter service between its Kolkata hub and Ezhou in China’s Hubei Province. In an Linkedin post IndiGo Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Sutch said "A great pleasure to officiate at the opening of IndiGo CarGo’s latest phase of its international freighter strategy.”
