Avolon leases Airbus A320-200 to Aerovista
Aerovista announced it has leased an Airbus A320-200 aircraft from Dublin based lessor Avolon. The carrier revealed the aircraft was manufactured in 2010 and has been subleased to Aerovista’s Group company Fly2Sky, and operating under Fly2Sky’s AOC.
Orix Aviation closes first Jolco transaction
Orix Aviation announced the successful closing of a Japanese Operating Lease (JOLCO) with a Call Option transaction with Avolon, supported by MUFG acting as lender. Orix Aviation CEO James Meyler stated “We are delighted to confirm the closing of our first Lessor JOLCO to Avolon. This transaction is a testament to ORIX Aviation’s strong reputation within the JOL/JOLCO market and further demonstrates our close working relationship with Avolon.”
Standard Chartered delivers 5 Boeing 737-8 MAX’s to Akasa Air
Dublin based Standard Chartered announced it has successfully closed an operating lease of five new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Akasa Air. The first four aircraft (MAX 8) were delivered between December 2022 and March 2023 and the fifth aircraft is scheduled for delivery in second quarter of 2023. Standard Chartered Global Head of Aviation Finance and CEO of Ireland Kieran Corr stated “We are proud to further strengthen our relationship with Akasa Air and support its growth with these new additions to its fleet. This Sale and Leaseback deal shows our commitment to the Indian aviation market and to support our clients’ transition to the most fuel-efficient aircraft.”
TrueNoord secures $275 million Term Loan to support growth
TrueNoord announced it has successfully closed a new five-year term Loan of $275 million. The capital will be used by the lessor to expand their existing group of aircraft assets, and to finance a well-diversified portfolio of 31 owned regional jet and turboprop aircraft currently on lease to 13 different airline customers based in 11 countries.
