Beibu Gulf Airlines leases two Airbus A320s from AerDragon
Guangxi based Beibu Gulf Airlines leased two Airbus A320s from AerDragon. AerDragon CEO Gang Li, said “We are pleased to welcome Beibu Gulf Airlines to AerDragon’s growing list of customers. The teams of AerDragon and Beibu Gulf Airlines enjoyed working together for the successful delivery. CDB Aviation appoints Madam MA Hong as Chairperson
CDB Aviation announced that Madam MA Hong has formally appointed as Chairperson and Non-Executive Director of CDB Aviation, effective from 18 April. CDB Aviation CEO Jie Chen, said “The unique capabilities and resources of and continued support from our parent, CDB Leasing, have helped tremendously to propel our platform to where we are today. Ms. MA Hong’s long history of leadership and her extensive experience within CDBL and CDB, which recognize that CDB Aviation is a business in growth mode, will be critical to the next phase of our development.”
Dublin based lessor Avolon orders 40 Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft
Dublin based lessor Avolon announced a commitment to order 40 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2030; and are valued at over $4 billion at current list price. The order will increase Avolon’s owned, managed and committed fleet to 870 aircraft. Avolon CEO Andy Cronin said “This commitment with Boeing underlines our confidence in the positive momentum in the aviation market, and increases our portfolio of young, modern, fuel-efficient aircraft. With strong demand for our new technology orderbook, and delivery slots at a premium, it strengthens and extends our delivery profile with Boeing. This commitment will also support our airline customers who are looking to plan beyond the robust post-Covid traffic recovery and prepare for future growth, while also reducing their carbon emissions.”
First Boeing 737 MAX 8 to WestJet delivered by Clover Aviation Capital
Clover Aviation Capital announced the delivery to WestJet a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The first of a multiple-aircraft sale and leaseback transaction. Clover Aviation Capital CEO & President Joe Ye Tian, said “We are thrilled to have delivered our first of these B737 MAX 8 aircraft to WestJet and support their fleet expansion plans, marking the beginning of our partnership with one of North America’s leading airlines.”
New collaboration between H55 and VMO Leasing to develop Electric Aircraft Leasing Platforms
Vmo Aircraft Leasing and H55, an innovator in the field of electric propulsion technology for aviation, announced against the backdrop of the Revolution.Aero Dublin 2023 conference their commitment to working together to develop leasing solutions for new clean aviation products. As part of the envisaged collaboration, teams from both companies are engaged in providing leasing programs targeted to support the nascent market for financing electric aircraft, battery storage energy and management systems.
