Air India and Vistara announce Interline Partnership
Air India announced has entered an interline partnership with Vistara enabling connectivity on the carrier's 80 routes on domestic and international, leveraging both carriers capabilities and operations at airports, to enhance passenger experience. Air India CEO & MD Campbell Wilson, said “We are pleased at our interline partnership with Vistara, which will provide greater connectivity and convenience to our joint customers travelling within and outside of India on both our expanding route networks. Our common commitment to excellence in safety and customer service lies at the forefront of this partnership. We look forward to serving Vistara’s customers with additional travel choices to Air India destinations across the Americas, Europe, Far East, Australia, and the Middle East.”
Akasa Air adds Bhubaneswar
Akasa Air announced it has added Bhubaneswar to its growing route network with 14 weekly flights from Bangalore and Prune , as its strategy is to build connectivity from metros to tier 2 and 3 cities. Akasa Air, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Praveen Iyer said, “As the fastest-growing airline in the country, we are delighted to add Bhubaneswar to our ever-expanding network, marking our arrival in Orissa. Bhubaneswar is one amongst very few cities where we commence operations with two daily direct flights to and from Bengaluru & Pune. Providing seamless connectivity at affordable fares across major cities will boost travel and tourism for the city. We look forward to adding more destinations to the flight map of the country."
IndiGo Airlines grows international network
IndiGo international network expansion as four new flights between India and Southeast Asia, including two new routes between Bhubaneshwar-Singapore and Bhubaneshwar-Bangkok and the addition of second daily Kolkata to Bangkok sector. IndiGo Head of Global Sales, Vinay Malhotra said, “We are extremely pleased to announce new routes and additional frequencies to Singapore and Bangkok, in-line with our vision to enhance accessibility across Southeast Asia. There has been an increasing demand for outbound travel from India during the summer season, and southeast Asian destinations are an all-time favourite for Indian vacationers. As India’s leading carrier, we are fulfilling this need by adding flights from multiple destinations from across the country."
