AerCap Adds ASKY Airlines as new client
AerCap announced it has signed lease agreements for two used Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with ASKY, The Pan-African Airline, headquartered in Togo. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver June through August 2023. AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly said “We are delighted to welcome ASKY as a new customer to AerCap and particularly pleased to place the first MAX in Togo. AerCap is the largest lessor in Africa with 14 airline customers on the continent, and we are pleased to continue to support the growth and development of African aviation. We wish the ASKY team every success and look forward to working with them as these aircraft deliver.”
Azorra Announces Royal Jordanian Airlines Embraer leases
Azorra announced that it has signed lease agreements with Royal Jordanian Airlines for four Embraer 190-E2 and two E195-E2 aircraft. The aircraft are from Azorra’s Embraer E2 orderbook and are scheduled to start delivering by the end of 2023. Azzora CEO John Evans said “We are delighted to welcome Royal Jordanian as Azorra’s newest E2 customer, continuing our team’s longstanding relationship with the airline that began with a single Embraer E175 well over a decade ago. Royal Jordanian’s selection of the E2 underscores our belief that it is a natural next step for existing E1 operators, providing next generation economic and environmental efficiencies, while maintaining the familiarity and dependability offered by Embraer.”
New Chairman appointed at SMBC Aviation Capital
SMBC Aviation Capital announced the appointment of Noriyuki (Nori) Hiruta as the new Chairman of the Board. TrueNoord leases two Embraer E190’s to Helvetic Airways
TrueNoord announced has finalised the lease of two Embraer E190s on three year operating lease agreements with Helvetic Airways. TrueNoord CEO Anne-Bart Tieleman said “Helvetic Airways is an outstanding Swiss regional airline with a strong reputation for quality and reliability. The long-standing partnership with its ACMI customer is a testament to its value proposition and we are proud to be their lessor partner.”
