AerCap Lauds Narrowbody Prospects, Including E2, A220 AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly said during the lessor’s second-quarter earnings call said AerCap sees continued strong demand for current-generation narrowbodies and suggests the A220 and E190 programs will thrive under Airbus and Boeing, respectively reported Aviation Daily 31 July. CDB Aviation Delivers Africa’s First A320neo to Air Seychelles CDB Aviation announced 31 July the delivery of a new Airbus A320neo to Air Seychelles. While being the first A320neo family aircraft type to be delivered to an African airline, the aircraft is also the first unit equipped with CFM’s new generation LEAP-1A engines to be operated on the continent. CDB Aviation Delivers 737-800 to New Russian Customer CDB Aviation announced 31 July the placement of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on a long-term lease to a new customer in Russia, Joint-stock company NordStar Airlines. The 737-800 aircraft was delivered to the carrier in Ostrava, Czech Republic on July 30, and is expected to support the carrier’s expanding operations between Russian cities and the neighboring regions within the Russian Federation and foreign countries. GECAS provides Hongtu Airlines its first A320neo GECAS has delivered the first of four A320neo headed to Hongtu Airlines. As announced at Farnborough 2018, Hongtu Airlines (operating as Air Travel) has agreed to lease four of the new-technology narrowbodies from GECAS’ skyline orderbook. This delivery marks the first LEAP-powered A320neo to enter service with Hongtu Airlines. GECAS to provide Ural Airlines two LEAP-powered A321neo GECAS has contracted with Ural Airlines to provide two A321neo aircraft from the lessor’s orderbook, with deliveries in October and December of this year.
