Avolon And Japan Airlines Partner To Create eVTOL Ride Sharing Business In Japan Avolon and Japan Airlines announced a partnership to commercialize zero-emissions eVTOL aircraft in Japan. Avolon, through its investment and innovation affiliate Avolon-e, has formed a strategic partnership with JAL to identify and target local partners and customers, infrastructure requirements, certification, and a range of commercial models to introduce one of the world’s first eVTOL ride sharing businesses in Japan. Through this partnership, JAL will have a right to purchase or lease up to 50 Vertical VA-X4 eVTOL aircraft from Avolon, with the option to purchase or lease up to 50 additional units. Azorra adds another A220 to its portfolio Azorra announced that it has completed the acquisition of one (1) Airbus A220-300; MSN 55034. The aircraft was acquired from Avation PLC and is currently on lease with airBaltic.  Azorra’s CEO John Evans said “We are delighted to have completed this deal with Avation. This acquisition builds upon our growing relationship with airBaltic following recent sale-leaseback transactions directly with the airline. It also underpins Azorra’s strong belief in the A220 as a leading, next generation crossover platform”. LCI Delivers Two AW-139 Helicopters to Heligo LCI has placed two Leonardo AW139 helicopters on long-term operating leases with its newest customer, Heligo Charters Pvt. Ltd. Nigel Leishman, Executive Vice President & Global Head of Marketing at LCI, said  “Heligo is one of India’s foremost providers of onshore and offshore helicopter services, and we are delighted to support their operations. India and the wider Asia-Pacific region is a diverse and fast-growing market for helicopter leasing which today accounts for around a third of our global aircraft placements. We see huge potential for further long-term growth in the region across a range of operating sectors.” SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Boeing 737-8 Max to Southwest Airlines SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Boeing 737-8 MAX (MSN 61873) equipped with two (2) CFM LEAP-1B27 engines to Southwest Airlines. TrueNoord leases Embraer E190 to Cobham Aviation Services Cobham Aviation Services Australia has signed a six-year operating lease agreement with TrueNoord. The Embraer E190 (MSN 1900087) will be integrated into Cobham’s fleet for immediate charter operation. Funding for the aircraft is underwritten by TrueNoord’s existing revolving warehouse facility with Citibank, Société Générale and Royal Bank of Canada.
