Nordic Aviation Capital acquires two Airbus A320s
AIP Capital Invests in Eastar Jet, leases 737 MAX aircraft
AIP Capital announced the closing of an LP investment in a VIG Partners fund which holds a control investment in Korean low-cost carrier, Eastar Jet, based in Seoul, South Korea and will lease five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to the carrier. AIP Managing Partner Jared Ailstock, said “We are pleased to be a first mover with Eastar Jet immediately following the acquisition by VIG Partners. AIP’s commitment of five 737 MAX aircraft and concurrent financial investment was key in Eastar continuing as a Boeing operator as they seek to grow the airline. We are grateful for the trust placed in AIP by both the Eastar management team and VIG Partners and look forward to growing our partnership in the region.”
Aegean leases Airbus A321neo from CDB Aviation
CDB Aviation announced the execution of a lease agreement with Aegean Airlines for one Airbus A321-271NX from the lessor’s orderbook for delivery in 2025. CDB Aviation Chief Executive Officer Jie Chen, said “We’re very pleased to have established our latest customer relationship with the largest Greek airline and a leading regional carrier in Europe. This advanced, latest generation A321neo will be another well-suited member of AEGEAN’s growing fleet, providing the level of efficiency and comfort that is aligned with the carrier’s ongoing efforts to continuously improve its services and innovate to meet the evolving needs of its passengers.”
elfc Announces Leadership changes
Shannon based Engine Lease Finance Corporation (elfc) announced leadership changes, with the retirement of its President & CEO Tom Barrett. elfc Chief Operating Officer, Richard Hough, will succeed Barrett as the new President & CEO effective 1st of January 2024. Darren Wormald, elfc’s Executive Vice President & General Counsel has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Nordic Aviation Capital announced that it has purchased two Airbus A320 leased aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital on lease to UK based carrier Easyjet.
