DHL Express signs for Mammoth-converted Boeing 777-200LR freighters
USA based DHL Express announced it has ordered nine Mammoth-converted B777-200LR freighters from Jetran. The aircraft will be delivered through 2024 to 2027. DHL Express stated “The aircraft are an efficient bridge between current and new airframe technologies, such as new generation wide-body freighters B777-8F and A350F.” The aircraft has payload capacity of 102 tons and a range of 9,200 kilometers. DHL Express EVP Global Aviation Robert Hyslop said "We are excited to welcome Mammoth-converted B777-200LRFs to the DHL Express family."
GE Aerospace and AJW Group sign Systems Services Agreement
GE Aerospace has signed an agreement with AJW Group to support avionics and electrical power systems across Airbus A320/330/340, Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 types. The contract will start this year and will cover all AJW Group’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) customers that operate Airbus A320/330/340, Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
Global Crossing Airlines to provide additional lift for Lynx Air
Global Crossing Airlines announced that it has reached agreement to fly under an ACMI contract for Lynx Air based in Canada, commencing in June 2023 for 3 months.
MHIRJ Signs 3 Year MRO Agreement With Piedmont Airlines
MHI RJ Aviation Group (MHIRJ) announced that it has signed a three-year Aircraft Heavy Maintenance Service Agreement with Piedmont Airlines. Under the agreement MHIRJ will operate a single dedicated Embraer 145 nose-to-tail heavy maintenance line at Bridgeport WV service center with the potential of adding more lines in the future.
WestJet Cargo and the GTA Group launch Toronto dedicated freighter hub
WestJet Cargo and the GTA announced inauguration of the first of three Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighters in Toronto alongside integral business partners and key stakeholders. The aircraft freighters will now commence operations between its designated hubs in Calgary ,Halifax, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, and Vancouver feeding into Westjet hubs for global connectivity. WestJet Executive Vice-President, Cargo Kirsten de Bruijn said "We are thrilled to be celebrating this long-awaited milestone in Toronto, a core hub for WestJet Cargo and home of the GTA Group. As Canada's largest global hub, Toronto is a vital destination for our dedicated freighter operation that will enable WestJet Cargo to plug into a vast network of cargo entering the country and allow us to seamlessly execute the distribution of this cargo to its final destination across Canada.”
