A new future for Canadian North
The Minister of Transport, the Honourable Omar Alghabra, announced that the Government of Canada and Canadian North a 100% Inuit-owned airline, have agreed agreement new terms and conditions that will allow Canadian North to remain financially viable and sustainable, while continuing to provide required service levels to rural and remote communities in Northern Canada.
ATSG Delivers Boeing 767-300BCF’s to Amerijet
Air Transport Services Group announced the addition of two newly converted Boeing 767-300 freighters to their leasing fleet, one of which is the company's first Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF). The second aircraft was converted by Tel Aviv-based Israel Aerospace Industries. ATSG's leasing subsidiary, Cargo Aircraft Management, will lease both aircraft to Miami-based Amerijet International.
Boeing announces ecoDemonstrator 787-10 'Explorer' programme
Boeing announced is expanding its ecoDemonstrator flight-test program to further accelerate innovation and sustainability with plans to assess 19 technologies on the Boeing 777-200(ER) ecoDemonstrator, while also adding 787-10 "Explorer" aircraft focused on specific technologies. Boeing and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) in the U.S., Japan, Singapore, and Thailand will collectively sequence the airplane's routes to achieve the optimal flight path across multiple regions, factoring in conditions such as weather, air traffic and airspace closures. The airplane will fly on the highest available blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at each location.
Two A320 Aircraft Delivered to Air Albania by GA Telesis
GA Telesis announced the delivery of two A320 aircraft on long-term lease to Air Albania. The aircraft are part of the GA Telesis owned fleet and were delivered to Air Albania in the first quarter of the year. The delivery of these A320 aircraft represents a significant milestone in their collaborative efforts to support Air Albania's expansion plans.
7th Airbus A320 delivered to Global Crossing Airlines
Global Crossing Airlines announced it has taken delivery of its seventh passenger Airbus A320-200 on lease from Airborne Capital The aircraft is a sistership to four ex-Alaska A320 aircraft currently operating at GlobalX, with a 12 business-138 economy seat configuration and installed Wi-Fi.
