AEI secures 5th Boeing 737-800SF Freighter Conversion order from CargoAir
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced that Bulgaria-based Cargo Air has ordered its fifth AEI Boeing 737-800SF freighter conversion. The aircraft, (MSN 30881) is slated to commence modification in June, the conversion work will be performed by the authorized AEI conversion Center, Commercial Jet in Miami, Florida.
Air Canada and FlyDubai announce codeshare partnership
Flydubai announced a new partnership with Air Canada to give customers flying between Canada, the Middle East, East Africa, Indian Subcontinent and Southern Asia more convenient travel options. Pending final regulatory approval, Air Canada’s marketing code will be placed on nine routes operated from Dubai by flydubai, giving customers the ability to travel to these markets with the issuance of a single ticket. The nine routes include Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah and Muscat in the GCC as well as to Colombo and Karachi in the Indian Subcontinent and interline agreement covering 60 routes.
American Airlines names Chief Strategy Officer
American Airlines Group announced appointment of Stephen Johnson as Vice Chair and Chief Strategy Officer. In this expanded role, Johnson will lead and help shape American’s strategic efforts and initiatives across the enterprise and have responsibility for American Eagle and American Airlines Cargo. American Airlines CEO Robert Isom said "This is part of our long-term plan to continue strengthening our senior leadership team. Steve has served as an incredible leader and a trusted advisor to our airline over the past three decades, and to me personally throughout my first year as CEO. He will continue to guide our strategy, our focus on the economy and its impact on our business, and our corporate development, working closely with our board and senior leadership team.”
Fifth DHC-8 delivered to Air Greenland
Avmax announced the successful sale and delivery of a DHC8-Q202, MSN 497, to Air Greenland. This marks the fifth DHC8-Q202 sold by Avmax to Air Greenland, reinforcing the longstanding partnership between the two organizations. The aircraft will be deployed its domestic operations.
