AEI to provide Chrono Aviation with a B737-800SF Freighter Conversion
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced that Canada-based Chrono Aviation (Chrono) has signed a contract for an AEI B737-800SF freighter conversion. The aircraft (MSN 30748) is scheduled to commence modification in June 2022. Chrono will have a fleet of two AEI B737-800SF freighters, one company owned and another leased. Both aircraft will be used to support the company’s growing cargo operations.
Air Lease Corporation Announces Delivery of New Airbus A321-200neo LR Aircraft to Peach Aviation
Air Lease Corporation announced the delivery of one new Airbus A321-200neo LR aircraft on long-term lease to Peach Aviation, an affiliate of ANA based in Osaka, Japan. Featuring CFM International LEAP-1A32 engines, this is the first of two new A321-200neo LRs confirmed to deliver to the airline from ALC’s orderbook with Airbus. This aircraft is the first A321neo LR to join Peach Aviation’s fleet.
Aviation Capital Group Announces Delivery of One A320neo to Volaris
Aviation Capital Group announced the delivery of one new Airbus A320neo aircraft on long-term lease to Volaris. This aircraft, featuring Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines, is the fourth and final A320neo to deliver to Volaris from ACG as part of a multi-aircraft transaction between ACG and the airline.
Delta Fortifies Global Partner Strategy
Delta Air Lines announced it will make investments in Virgin Atlantic, Aeromexico and LATAM as the partner airlines transform their businesses to emerge from the global pandemic stronger and more resilient. These investments bolster Delta’s global platform that provides customers an enhanced network, seamless connectivity and an elevated experience, as well as fuel business growth for Delta, its employees and its partners. Frontier Airlines Signs Agreement with FLYHT
FLYHT announced an agreement with Frontier Airlines to equip Frontier’s near-term deliveries of A320 and A321 aircraft with FLYHT’s AFIRS solution, enabling Frontier to optimize its over water routes. By gaining access to real-time fleet information through FLYHT’s solutions, Frontier aims to improve operational efficiencies in both flight and ground operations, including reducing flying time and the associated fuel burn, while enhancing customer satisfaction.
United Airlines and Virgin Australia Group Announce New Partnership
United and Virgin Australia Group announced a new partnership that will enhance the travel experience between Australia and the Americas. This partnership will add more benefits for both MileagePlus and Velocity Frequent Flyer members as well as access to more one-stop connections to cities across the United States, Australia, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America. The agreement, which is subject to government approval, is set to roll out starting in early 2022.
