AviaAM Leasing converts second B737-800 in Guangzhou
AviaAM Leasing’s is on track with its recent entry into a passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion project, including the Boeing 737-800 series and a commitment to convert 25 aircraft of different types over the next four years. The conversion of the second Boeing 737-800 aircraft was completed by the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO) facility in Guangzhou, China.
CDB Aviation Signs International Aircraft Lease Agreements for Five A320neo Aircraft with Avianca
CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited announced the signing of international aircraft lease agreements with Colombia’s flag carrier Aerovías del Continente Americano S.A. Avianca (“Avianca”) for a fleet of five Airbus A320neo aircraft with deliveries from the lessor’s order book planned for 2022 and 2023, the aircraft are leased on a long-term basis and configured with three different seat types: Premium, Plus, and Economy.
China's general aircraft fleet to reach 45,000 by 2040
China's general aviation market is maintaining growth with the general aircraft fleet forecast to reach 45,000 by 2040, said the latest market outlook released by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC). By 2040, the total flight hours of China's general aviation are forecast to exceed 8 million hours, the market outlook said. The key growth drivers include pilot training, entertainment and low-altitude tourism.
SIMAERO & HNCA Establish a Joint Venture for Full Flight Simulator Engineering in China
SIMAERO (Zhengzhou) Aviation Simulator Equipment Co.,Ltd, a joint venture of SIMAERO (Shanghai) Aviation Simulator Equipment Co., Ltd and HNCA Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd, has been established in Zhengzhou, capital of the Henan Province in China.
WorldSkills Competition takes to the skies with China Southern Airlines
A China Southern Airlines Boeing 777-300ER , painted with WorldSkills Competition motifs, made its maiden flight from Guangzhou, southern Guangdong Province, to Shanghai last week to mark the 300-day countdown to the 46th WorldSkills Competition. Acting deputy director of the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 Executive Bureau Zhao Yongfeng said “China Southern Airlines is the airline with the largest number of transport aircraft, the largest route network and the largest annual passenger volume in China. It is also a cluster of skilled talents and plays a core role in the development of vocational skills in China’s aviation industry. The plane with the WorldSkills Shanghai motifs carries dreams of skills. Its flying in the sky reflects China’s firm resolution to hold a successful WorldSkills Competition.”
